Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson returned to NYC from a month long-tour across the country in support of his newest self-titled CD last Wednesday. Miles performed an intimate show at Glasslands, and his tight and well-received set included some new numbers from an album tentatively titled “Summer of Fear”, which he will begin recording soon in anticipation of an early 2009 release.
We recorded this set in “matrix” fashion, mixing a soundboard feed with our Neumann microphones mounted on the railing in front of the stage. Although the vocals are a bit too heavy in the mix, the sound quality is clear and this is a fine capture of an excellent concert. Enjoy!
