Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band brought their 2007 Magic tour to Madison Square Garden for two nights, and Thursday’s second show was another remarkable performance by the most energetic 58-year old performer in rock history. Springsteen worked through much of the new material, while sprinkling in career highlights, including a particular emphasis on Born to Run material. The highlight of the evening was the ultra-rare “Meeting Across the River” which segued directly into “Jungleland”, and which Bruce dedicated to his friend the late actor Peter Boyle.
nyctaper has supported Bruce for over 3 decades–going all the way back to 1975 when at the age of 12 I spent my allowance money to buy a vinyl copy of Born to Run. As we post this recording on this site, we again support him with our utmost sincerity. While Springsteen as been an avid anti-bootlegging artist, so too does this site condemn the sale of unofficial live recordings. In recent years, Bruce Springsteen has appeared to have drawn a line between profiteering bootleggers, and fan recordings. On the web, sites such as the jungeland tracker, backstreets, and dimeadozen have served to enhance fan interaction by freely sharing unofficial live recordings with the vociferous fans, all without any official condemnation by Bruce. We hope that this site will equally be seen as the supportive site we maintain, and that there will be no repercussions from the posting of this recording.
I recorded from Row C of Section 313, which is obviously not the ideal location in this venue. However, we were positioned directly on the side of the stage, and a large PA stack pointed directly at the section. As a result, while the recording is a bit boomy, its much clearer and more well-defined that I had expected. Enjoy!

Great job thanks
I’ve been using downthem all for a while and find i need a page free from extraneous links. A download page with just the material I want on it otherwise i have to weed out the other stuff.
Thanks for the tape what a show.
Thanks so much for your generosity!!! Looking forward to this!
Thanks for the download can’t wait to hear it although disappointed by American Land
thanks though
Yes, me too. I don’t really know what happened. The only other time something like this happened was when I was recording Richard Thompson in the rain, which I chalked up to excessive moisture.
I still had battery power, and 35 minutes of disc space left, so its odd. The only explanations are that I either accidentally pushed something or that (more likely) the deck was just too hot and shut down. When I took it out of the bag, it was quite warm. I’ve never recorded a two-and-half-hour straight concert with this deck before!
Otherwise, I’m confident that fans will be extremely pleased with the quality of this recording. Enjoy!
Life is grand. thanks a bunch
I was at the show the night before and would love to find a taper copy of that. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Nice job! You should grab my version of “American Land” and merge with yours to make a complete show!
Thank you so much for this…. and so quick!
Hey scoper! Thanks for posting that. I was thinking of doing exactly that, but wouldn’t have done so without your permission.
Feel free to patch “Last to Die” from this recording onto yours.
This tape sounds amazing! Nice job
Egads, server overload! Please be patient and be aware that this is now also available at a mirror server location here:

Thanks beerlover for the help!
Are the breaks the same for American Land that i could just burn one with the other or has someone done this as a smooth transition yet?
Thanks again. Great show! Great recording!
Where can i download 10-17 MSG? I went and would love to have a copy of this show.. Thanks for the 18th
Thank you, Dan. Nice nice work…best recording of the tour so far.
Thanks for sharing this. Sounds great so far. Appreciate your time and effort.

You are the man !
great show many thanks to you
Scott many thanks for sharing this Dave
Awesome effort and turnaround, thanks for this recording and your bandwidth generosity.
Legendary
Great recording…thank you so much for sharing it here. Despite the server overload, I was still pulling a nice comfortable 110-140 kb/s, which more than makes me happy. And the recording quality is awesome…I see myself listening to this one a bunch in the weeks and months to come!
Again, thanks so much for your generosity!
Thanks for this. I just finished downloading, haven’t gotten to listen yet, but based on the other comments here, am really looking forward to this.
>Scott many thanks for sharing this Dave
If you’re confusing me with the great DPA taper Scott Brown, I’m flattered, but that’s not my name!
Thanks for posting the link on dime and posting the show here. Sounds great, one of the top 2-3 of the tour thusfar! We gotta get you and your rig in the sweet spot when Bruce swings back in the Spring!
Thanks again!
thanks for your troubles in making and sharing this really nice sounding recording with everybody. the really quick dl speed from this site was very impressive, almost as impressive as the quality of the recording itself.
Great recording! Thanks for sharing.
Hey nyctaper
Thx for the recording.
I’ve downloaded track 20 3 times now and still get an errorwhen playing it or decoding it with flac front end. If I play it directly, it stops at 5:32 instead of going to 5:45. When decoding, flac gets to 95% decode and stops saying it has an error.
Anybody else with this issue?
Figured out the issue. The mirror site has the problem. On the mirror the file is 36.6 mb, but on the primary site it’s 38 mb
Sorry about that, I will notify the webmaster of that server about the error.
Great recording, thanks for sharing!
Any updates on the fixed American Land yet?
Very nice! Thank you.
Dan
I had just commented on his post on Dime, please forgive me Dan
Thank you, NYCTAPER… KUDOS to you!!!
Thank you.
Dan,
Thanks for this. Excellent show & recording.
Thank you !!!!
Patrick
I tried using Download Them All to download this and got some type of 503 error message. Does anyone know what that is, what it means, and what I am doing wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
503 message has been common this week. Its a server overload.
Continue to try to use Down the All!, but you will have to adjust its properties.
In Firefox, click Tools.
Scroll down to Down them All!
on the right, a menu will pop up.
Click Preferences.
Change the “Max Contemporary Downloads” to 1.
You should still be able to download multiple tracks at once, but my new server limitations
https://www.nyctaper.com/?p=75
will not block you (Error 503).
Thanks for making this show available.
The artwork is great too!
Thanks, Dan! This looks great
Richard
thanks for the best recording of this show. can americanland be cut in from scopers version
scoper’s American Land is posted for download at the bottom of the setlist!
Thanks… Super recording. Have heard the album a lot lately and these live versions sound great. great work
Great Job lots of fun. Keep free music alive.
Dan, thanks again for all the shows, and this great site.
I have downloaded the songs, but am not able to play them. i want to play them in i-tunes. it says that the type of file is a FLAC file. what do i need to do to be able to play the files?
thanks
wcb: For Windows, get Foobar2000. On the Mac look for Max to convert them to MP3 or AAC.
It’s been over a month, and NOW I think to look for this … the tracks I’ve heard so far sound great, better than when I was there (serious nosebleed section). Clear vocals — that’s what I was missing.
Oh, and I’m downloading them from Usenet to spare your server. :)
Many many thanks for this show, the Boss is coming our way (Ireland) soon and this will certainly get us in the mood for his shows. Again many thanks.
